Grrr.

I finally do something really cool, and I can’t show anyone.

I got the Coppermine gallery to work with CRE Loaded OsCommerce (the software I use for the new store). I had to edit over 150 files (it was simple copy/paste/comment out stuff, but that’s still a lot of files) and document what I did to do it. Well, I didn’t have to document what I was doing since it was pretty simple and I have several backups, but in order to submit it to the CRE Loaded team as a user contribution I have to.

And I can’t upload it to my site! My FTP connection maxes out at ~0.11kps, and every third or fourth file it either only partially transfers (causing lovely errors) or gets an “error” from the server.
FTP’s the same for all my sites, so it’s not just the host I use for KC. Even the regular internet is super slow.

While I was working on the gallery last night it was sooo slow trying to upload and backup my website I finally just gave up and learned how to set up a localhost environment for myself on my computer. It was faster to set up that than it was to download my entire site to back it up. How retarded is that?

Is something going on that I don’t know about? Mass DOS attacts again? Some big virus I haven’t heard about yet?
