I think my interview went really well. ^_^
It was a nice little 45 minuts drive down to the place, which wasn’t bad at all. Apparently a lot of their staff live in the Tri-City/Guelph or London areas and just commute down to Paris.
Nice little facility; only about 2 years old so everything is state of the art, which is always fun . ^_^
As far as I could tell, the interview itself went well, and now I just need to wait and see if I get a second interview next week. ^_^
Cross your fingers for me again!
Fingers crossed! Sounds pretty good, and commuting is far better than moving away.
Thanks!
Not to mention 45 minutes is really nothing (or at least, can be considered nothing for a year). I had longer commutes within Toronto.
You also have a car that’s fairly fuel economic…
as you get more adventurous you may find alternative routes that can shave some time (although not necessarily distance) off your commute.
Speaking of fuel economic cars, you wouldn’t believe how dissapointed I was back when I found out that Smart Cars don’t come in Hybrid yet 🙁
Barring any large scientific advances or concerns, I’d like my next car to be hybrid (or better) and I really wanted a little ForTwo.
Some downsides of hybrids that most don’t consider:

um, ya… so I actually made a pretty lengthy comment but it all got chopped off…
I wondered about that. Any error or anything, or it just didn’t post the rest of it?
(and I figure “electric in town” is way better than “none ever”) ^_~
Comment test comment test
wow!
testing testing, 1, 2, 3…
I made a few tests and searches, and it seems the most common thing to cut off comments is an unclosed html tag or a lonely < bracket (like those darn less-than-3 hearts). Have any of those in your comment? I can’t really see you posting little hearts in my blog while talking about hybrid cars.
I had a less than sign in my comment.
no errors were reported.
I don’t think the comment system of WordPress likes greater than or less than signs, because it wants to treat them as html (which it thne counts as “broken” because there’s no actual tags) unless you type in the ASCII for the symbol, which is a pain.
I’m looking for a solution besides “turning off HTML in comments entirely”, but that might end up being it.
So yeah, all the hybrid cars I’m aware of use the electric engine as long as you’re using your brakes often enough to provide sufficient friction/power, i.e. in town. So driving around Guelph or somewhere like Toronto I believe you’d usually be using effectively no gas (one of the accounts I read was from a guy living in LA who almost never used any gas driving around the city). Highway driving where you don’t brake for long stretches of time will make the gas kick in, though.
