Woot!

I totally just scored a free TV!
I am now the proud owner of a 20″ RCA TV, which can replace the little 13″ RCA TV that I won back when I worked at Zehrs.

I was outside taking boxes out of my car (still slowly moving, about 4 boxes as a time crammed into my car) and there was this guy going to get rid of a TV at the Used Clothing Only bin outside our apartment (despite a TV not being used clothing).

I asked if it worked, and he said yeah, but he got “one of them new flat TVs” instead. So I asked if I could have this one because he was dumping it anyway, and he said sure .

I figured it was worth a shot, even if he turned out to be lying and it was a broken piece of crap. All it would cost is me carying the thing up the stairs to test out, and back down again if it didn’t work.

Turns out he was telling the truth, and the picture and sound are both very clear! And not super-tiny, as on my other TV. Sweet!

So. Free TV! For the win!

… too bad I don’t actually have cable yet, because I can’t afford the hook-up fee yet. 😛 But that’s beside the point.
