Anyone notice anything interesting on the Child’s Play Charity website lately? ^_~
This week I will write my final exam for the online Pathology course from UBC that I’ve been taking, and officially end my academic career. Yay!
What is up with so many people I know moving to Ottawa? I just found out my good friends and former housemates just moved there. For a real job, though, so it’s all good.
It’s a busy season for SKS too. This is also a good thing, since it’s keeping Mr. Visa from trying to break my knees. It just means I have no spare time for a while.
I’m also doing a craft fair in Toronto on the 16th. Come see me, if you’re interested!
Work is still good. Getting loads done, and getting more responsibility. That is good. Working my way up to where I’m supposed to be in this position. ^_^
The holidays are getting booked solid. We have a lot of family. We’ll probably be in Kincardine the 23/24/25, if anyone else is (though, like us, you’re probably busy with family).
Anyone interested in getting together for New Year’s?
I should be in Kincardine then… give me a call, or I’ll give you a call.
And New Year’s is a definite possibility, if you’re in Guelph.
Wow! SKS on PA! Good for you!
Do I even want to know what that ran you? Did you file it away for tax purposes?
I’ll be in Kincardine (as you might guess) over Christmas. I’ll also be by myself on the 23rd, and therefore bored.
I’d be willing to go to Guelph for New Year’s also 🙂
I definitely want to know how much that sponsorship cost. 😉 And I’m sure she’ll be claiming it as an expense on her taxes, to do otherwise would be insanity.
As for Christmas and New Years, I will be far, far away.
Right, I forgot to come back and reply to this (busy week). ^_^
We’ll be in Guelph for New Years. Not sure if our house will be up to snuff for having visitors, but I’m sure we can all figure out something fun to do. ^_^ I probably won’t be able to offer DD services this year, unless we go somewhere else instead of our place (in which case I’ll have to drive home).
The CPC sponsor rates were actually pretty reasonable, though admittedly it was quite a stretch for me. The Silver level was $1000, while Platinum level ran those companies 5 grand. All USD of course.
On the altruistic side of the coin, it’s for one of the few charities I can actually fully get behind, and it’s for a good cause. On the self-serving side, nothing is as great for your public image as donating to charity. ^_~
I’ve gotten a bunch of hits, and a couple direct sales from the link on CPC. I made it back in holiday sales, so I should come out ahead after next week’s craft show. ^_^
And yes, I’m certainly claiming it on my taxes. ^_~
