Pink or Blue Hair? Zany!

I’ve been bored with my hair for several months now. I’ve been putting off doing anything to it in case I regret it, but that’s no fun. My original plan was to try to grow it down to my waist, just to see if I could. I’m only about 2-3 months or so from this goal, so essentially I know I “can” do it. It’s just that it sorta looks crappy lately. I’m not very good at styling it, and I’m tired of it.
I want to get something completely different, like a long A-line cut or something.

But before I cut it all off, I may as well have some fun with it and dye it some funky colour for no other reason than I want to and have never been able to.

  1. I know a girl who always gets an A line cut, and it NEVER looks good. People tell me it suits her, and perhaps I’m old fashioned. Regardless, my vote is against A line for one good reason. If you don’t like it, the only alternative is a boy haircut or waiting. You can’t pull it back, you can’t style it differently, you’re stuck with your A cut.

Shoulder length, long enough for a pony tail, is always the best option. Then you can do whatever you like with it.

And funky colours wash/fade really q

  2. uickly and require bleaching before hand (generally). Again, perhaps I’m old fashioned, but I’d recommend going with a really deep brunette or red. Try something natural that you could wear in a business meeting. Perhaps you’d like it. Perhaps again, I’m old fashioned.

  3. @ Ian: Does the poll at the right now show up for you? It should be right above the “categories”.

@ Gord: I know they need bleaching and fade; I’m going to be cutting most of my hair off anyway so I may as well fry it before it ends up on the floor. ^_~

Whenever I dye my hair red the dye stays in for months/years until I cut it out, so I’m trying to avoid anything red-based for a while.
I wonder if they make veggie-based dyes in normal colours; it’s the fact that the dyes are vegetable based instead of chemical-reaction based that funky colours fade so quickly compared to “normal” hair dyes.

And if nobody likes the A-line idea, what other haircuts are good these days? I’ve had the same damn haircut since grade 10, just at various lengths, and I’m tired of it.
