Yay!
Josh’s work benefits were recently updated to include coverage for my type of birth control! Before they only covered the Pill, and I use the Patch.
Sweet. I had to go to the drugstore to pick some up anyway, so this is good news.
Just ’cause you all care about my sex life.
And the change was retroactive to December 1, 2007. Plus we now have coverage for all kinds of useless and/or questionable “paramedical” providers. Yay.
Sometimes I wish I could just be given the cash that represents the premiums for all the insurance products I never use….
All I care about at the moment is that it used to cost me $68 for 3 months worth of BC, and yesterday it only cost me the $5 dispensing fee for the same amount. Yay!
Though it was weird… in the email about the increased coverage, they mentioned NorPlant as an addition form of BC that they cover.
Um, NorPlant was discontinued in 2002, and the next closest thing (Implanon) is not yet available in Canada.
