Last night and I went to the open house info session on the new composting facility they are proposing for Guelph.

The open house itself was pretty good, and the people there were able to actually answer questions we had. They also had fancy food out, so we had some excellent cheesecake. Yum!

Resident Theresa Smith said having to wait until 2011 “seems like a long time for the city to go without composting facilities.”

But she and fellow resident Caitlin Thompson said they were pleased with the planning details they saw Tuesday.

“We’re looking forward to having a (municipal composting) facility,” Thompson said.
