Self Labeling

Yesterday was nice and warm ^_^ Almost 20 degrees out! So it was a little too warm to wear my jacket home from work, but I already had other things to carry, so I just wore it undone.

I was also wearing the t-shirt my parents brought me back from Houston.

Long story short, I was walking around shopping after work with “HO” on my chest ’cause the jacket was open just enough to show that part.

Sometimes I hate my job

Some days I just do. I love the work, but I hate the circumstances.
I worked an extra 3 hours on Friday to get Saturday off. I couldn’t work any later than that, because a lot of the work I do is time-dependant, so there’s not much you can do ahead of schedule.
After a great Easter Break, fast forward to today.
Now, I’m salaried, so I don’t get paid a second past 3:00 pm. So guess who’s there until 8:45 tonight (from a start time of 7:00 am) catching up? It wouldn’t have been so bad, but they brewed right through the weekend, an since yesterday was a holiday, I had todays work, plus catch-up from the weekend, plus all of the start-up samples from yesterday (usually taking an hour and a half by themselves)

If I ever get it into my head again that a 3-day weekend is a good thing, throw something at me.

DVD Madness – Trying to watch Spirited Away

So apparantly TVs can be “too old” to work with a DVD player. Our TV is one such TV.
We only discover this after crawling around on the floor behind the cabinet and trying every which way (like all two) to do the connections. We read the ever-so-helpful manual.

Turns out our TV just sucks. I coulda told you that.

At least the little tv is normal, and works properly.
Only problem is that “wide screen” looks awfully tiny on 13 inches.

*sigh*

Good movie, though.

HTML Madness…

Mini content-adding-overhaul of my SMDC site. Added a “donate” button to each page, an FAQ section, and a “how to make your own site like this” section. Way too much fun. Consequently, I was up until after midnight, and of course I had to get up at 5:30 this morning so I can go to work.

Uggh.

Morons!

Bah!

Why? Why do we always get morons delivering our groceries??

It says right in our profile “Please use the back door”. Right under “special delivery instructions”, the part that gets printed out for the driver each time they make a delivery.

We have not once, not once since we moved here had someone find the “back door” on the first try. The most common thing attempted is to open the garage door (at the FRONT), which can’t possibly look more like a garage door. The second most attempted thing is to ring the doorbell on the front door.

Now, normally, that would be acceptable. But we live in a freaking basement apartment! We don’t have access to the front door! Not to mention how it pisses off the people who live upstairs (our landlords, no less) that they get called to the front door only to have to direct the delivery-person to the back door.

It’s. Not. That. Hard!

Say it with me: “back door”! Back!

Bah again!
